After 30 years of using caulk for home and business, I found:
- Every time I used caulk, I needed to find some type of tool to penetrate the caulk membrane.
- When there is caulk leftover, I needed to find a hand tool with which to seal it in order to use the caulk again. This might be a piece of wire, a nail, screw, dowel, or some similar hand tool.
- Unfortunately, when I went back to use the caulk, it had usually hardened. No matter what tool I used to seal the caulk with - it had gotten stuck and was difficult, if not impossible, to pull out of the neck (stem).
